MOURNING DOVE
Mourning doves are fairly common backyard birds about the size of a pigeon. The males and females look the same. Mourning Doves belong to the same family of birds that pigeons do: the dove family. They can be attracted with a scattering of seeds on the ground. The Mourning Dove has a soft cooing call that sounds a bit like an owl.
